Welcome to February Date Night Blog Tour hosted by Sewing By Ti. This is a very big blog post for me. Not only is this my very first blog tour but the most exciting thing ever is happening right here on this very blog…. A GIVEAWAY!
Before I get too ahead of myself this Blog Tour post features the ultimate date night outfit made with patterns from Patterns For Pirates and fabric from Raspberry Creek Fabrics. The first thing that comes to mind about going on a date is what to wear. I want to look more my age and less mom-of-four. Wondering what you should make or wear for that special night out? Look no further. I’ve got you covered. I first made the P4P LMU mashed with the P4P FST pattern. This makes the perfect LLR Carly hack. You can find a tutorial on how to mash HERE and how to do the hack HERE.
I was nervous about making the dress. This was my first mash-up attempt, hack, and I had to free-hand the hem too which was a little scary. I used Double Brushed Poly from my favorite fabric shop Raspberry Creek Fabrics . It is just like LLR fabric and so comfortable. I could live in this dress. My obsession with floral is intense now. The high-low hem is my favorite part.
I made a matching pair of P4P Pegs with burgundy Cotton Lycra from RCF. If you join the P4P Facebook Group you may find you can grab the amazing peg leg pattern for free. I didn’t become a fan of leggings until I made these. I now try to live in them. I’m that girl now. They are so easy and fast to make. Luckily I’ve been making my shirts in tunic length too! Pants are now obsolete.
The weather in Tennessee is constantly changing. Some days are warm and some days are cold. What better way to layer this outfit than with a cardigan! I used the P4P Grandpa Cardi pattern and will be wearing this until further notice. There isn’t buttons or snaps on it but I think I will be adding pockets. I used an amazing solid French Terry from RCF. You can browse her selection HERE. It is not only soft but warm.
The best thing about this date night outfit is that it will transition into any season. It can also be dressed up to be fancy or as casual as you wish. I am still debating whether or not to wear heels or flats. If you’re a fan of LLR I urge you to make your own! Wearing what I have made not only makes me feel good because It’s made for me but it makes me proud because it is made BY me! I am so ready for my date with my husband on Friday! We even hired a sitter.
Yes, that shirt is also RCF and P4P. I’m only obsessed a little. Are you ready now for the best part of this post?! Raspberry Creek Fabrics and Custom Printing is giving away a $50 gift card! I am a big fan of Diana and not only is her customer service amazing she has one of the fastest shipping in my experience. RCF is my favorite and I want to give a big thanks to her for sponsoring this Giveaway! There are multiple ways to enter and I will be picking one random winner one week from today!
